50 Years of Festival Of Friends
WestDale theatre - June 25th, 2026
An intimate evening of story, song, and conversation - Hosted by Alan Cross.
This summer marks 50 years of the Festival of Friends, one of Canada’s largest and most influential live music events. Join us as we celebrate this massive milestone with a trip down memory lane - featuring the musicians and organizers that made it possible.
Step behind the bandshell with Canada’s premiere music historian, Alan Cross, as he speaks with legendary songwriters Marc Jordan and Tom Wilson about their experiences at the first Festival in 1976, followed by solo acoustic performances.
Former headliners Jim Witter and Hawksley Workman - along with a dozen other Festival of Friends alumni - will also share the stage, a song, and pay tribute to the performers that have come before.
More than a concert, this is a celebration of one of Canada’s greatest cultural institutions.
